An overview of the Pro-Safe Fire products
Pro-Safe’s technology has pioneered the use of propane for portable and fixed fire training devices since 1982. This versatile product line has evolved from our delivery of thousands of hours of hands-on fire ground evolutions throughout North America.
Compliance
Compliance with a multitude of stringent international regulations has uniquely positioned the Company to supply fire training systems required by regulatory organizations for military, airport, and civilian firefighters. In January 2000, the U.S. military adopted National Fire Protection Association (“NFPA”) training regulations, which require live fire training for all military fire personnel. No other company is poised to provide the military with a feasible way to meet such requirements. Additionally, Pro-Safe has met or exceeded strict Federal Aviation Administration (“FAA”) and Environmental Protection Agency requirements.
Safety
Safety is a top priority for fire fighters and those who train them. No incidents of injury have been reported to date resulting from training with Pro-Safe’s systems. Safety features on all Pro-Safe’s units include at a minimum shut-down switches which automatically extinguish flames in less than 10 seconds if released by a person in training, and a kill switch on the chief operator’s panel which can instantly cut-off all burners.
Fuel & Cost Savings
A particularly intriguing aspect of the Pro-Safe solution is the ability to produce extremely realistic flame signatures using only a fraction of the fuel required by competitor’s products. The environmental implications of lower fuel consumption are also significant because both airborne emissions and ground run-off are reduced to levels which will readily comply with EPA standards.
