Safety / Advantages:
The safety of your firefighters is always our first consideration. Mobile Aircraft Fire Trainers are proven effective because:
- Firefighters train alongside their team members
- Crews are trained using familiar equipment
- The versatility of Pro-Safe Fire’s MAFT units prepares firefighters in varied, realistic scenarios
- An extensive list of safety features (see back) has been built into every MAFT unit.
Efficiency:
Pro-Safe Fire’s MAFTs enable firefighters to meet all NFPA and FAA requirements (with spill fire option) including fires in cabin, engine, wheel/brake, auxiliary power unit, fuel and electrical fires. Because our fuel dispensing systems are so efficient, they have proven very cost effective.
Reliability & Innovation:
Reliability and quality are built into every step of our manufacturing process. The aircraft mockup is constructed of 14-gauge stainless steel. The trailer is galvanized to inhibit corrosion. The trailer and control system are custom designed and engineered to meet each client’s specific needs. We offer service and maintenance programs for our MAFTs. Our detailed technical manuals include basic preventative maintenance recommendations.
Operational Requirements
The standard MAFT model is comprised of a 50-foot aircraft fuselage and a 300-hp tractor, totally self-contained with on-board generator, DOT-approved propane tanks, flood lighting, etc. Pro-Safe Fire’s MAFT’s are designed to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) circular 150/5220-17A and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1003 requirements for aviation firefighting training of Index A-E. Our mobile trainer allows you to train with your equipment at locations of your choice. Two people can assemble the system and have it ready for training in less than two hours. The MAFT can also be secured quickly in the event of a real-world emergency.
