Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Ontario, Canada, Pro-Safe Fire Training Systems Inc is the leading manufacturer of live fire training systems. The Company has designed and patented a unique propane-based burner system used in fire fighter training programs throughout the world. The burner system is an integral part of the scaled metal replications of aircraft, automobiles, buildings, or other simulators which are manufactured by the Company. Operators are trained by the Company in how to safely create realistic live fire situations for controlled training purposes. Pro-Safe’s proprietary approach to delivering fire training simulators that meet FAA, EPA, and other regulatory training requirements has attracted impressive clientele including branches of the U.S. military, major municipal and state fire academies, and international airports throughout North America. Similar acceptance in other countries has started to propel the Company as a world wide player in a rapidly growing market.
Markets
Emergency response training products represent a burgeoning multi-billion dollar world wide market. This market can be segmented into the manufacture of training units ,annual inspection and maintenance services, and both classroom and field testing and certification programs; Pro-Safe is currently a leader or is positioned to become a leader in all of these segments. In North America alone, there are approximately 160 airports which are mandated by the FAA to conduct live fire training certification programs at least once each year enhancing their value as likely customers. The world wide market is many times larger with over 5,000 international airports. Additionally, the FAA has approved a budget of approximately $1bn, exclusively for the purpose of subsidizing the safety expenditures of airports. Pro-Safe’s products meet the performance requirements necessary to benefit, directly and indirectly, from this subsidy. Furthermore, there are over 30,000 regional fire departments in the U.S. not including military and industrial groups. The use of Portable Extinguisher Training systems for Industrial fire extinguisher training for corporations and small municipalities also represents an untapped market for which Pro-Safe has developed a superior solution. Management estimates that the North American market alone represents a significant revenue opportunity within the next five years. |
